HM Treasury does not make its own estimates on the average rate of interest being charged on UK issues credit cards, but instead uses The Bank of England monthly releases for monetary and financial system statistics, which can be found here under “Money and Credit Data”: <a href="https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/statistics" target="_blank">https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/statistics</a>.
